Children’s Day schedule announced

Join us for a celebration of the arts in downtown Iowa City. The Summer of the Arts, Iowa Arts Festival, & Iowa City Public Library will present Children’s Day on Sunday, June 3, 2012, from noon to 4 p.m. in downtown Iowa City on City Plaza and Blackhawk Mini-Park (in case of rain, this event will be held in the Library).


The Family Stage will feature performing artists, and children can visit activity booths where they can create their own works of art and sign up for the Iowa City Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.


FAMILY STAGE PERFORMANCES


Noon – Storytelling with Deanne Wortman
12:20 p.m. – Pied Piper Concert with Orchestra Iowa’s Brass Quintet
1:00 p.m. – Magic Show with Eric Dany
1:40 p.m. – Ukelele Social Club of Johnson County
2:15 p.m. – Family Concert featuring Dave Moore
2:55 p.m. – Magician Ken Cooper
3:30 p.m. – Children’s Dancing with Nora Garda & Edith Barragan
