Teens! Register Today for Poetry Pro-Am

by on April 12th, 2013

Come close out National Poetry Month at the 2nd annual Poetry Pro-Am. This four-hour event created specifically for teens features a performance master class, refreshments, and a blowout live show to cap the day. Start the day at 3:00 p.m. by participating in a master class that will help you develop your writing and performance skills.

This isn’t just poetry, it’s poetry amplified. Feel free to rap, rant, riff, and rave. After class, take a break and munch on free food to get you ready to get up on stage and do your thing at 5:30 p.m. All events take place in Meeting Room A, at the Library.

Please be aware that space is limited for this event, so register today. You may do so online at http://goo.gl/Twy5E

This event is sponsored by the Iowa City Public Library, Iowa Youth Writing Project, the Frank N. Magid Undergraduate Writing Center, and Working Group Theatre.
