At the library, we love books and we love our moms. So of course, we love books about moms. Here are some new titles and old favorites about all kinds of mothers. Come in to the library today to check these out and make a a special Mother’s Day treat during our Sunday Funday program at 2pm.

And I Have You  by Maggie Smith celebrates the bond between mothers and babies both animal and human.

 Mama’s Nightingale by Edwidge Danticat explores the bond between mother and child even when separated.

 

 

 

 

 

 In Our Mothers’ House by Patricia Polacco gives insight into the trials and triumphs of adopted children being raised by two mothers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When Mama Goes to Work by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch explores how working mothers and their children find ways to stay close during each day.

 

 

 

 

 The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown is a classic tale of a mother’s continuing love no matter where her children go.
