How Do I Vote Early for the June 5, 2018 Primary?

by on April 20th, 2018

Early voting for the June 5 primary begins at Iowa City Public Library Monday, May 7 from Noon – 4. By law, this is the first day for early voting for this primary. Additional dates at ICPL are Friday, June 1 from  2:30 – 6:30 and Saturday, June 2 from 11-5. This is ArtsFest weekend so it will be busy.

There is also a change early voters should be ready for: According to the Johnson County Auditor’s Office,  “Under the new Voter ID law, early voters do not have to show their ID, but are required to write their Iowa driver’s license or non-driver ID number on their request form. Voters who do not have an Iowa license or non-driver ID will need to write down the PIN number from their voter card instead. Contact the Johnson County Auditor’s Office with any questions.”

Early voting at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office, 913 S. Dubuque St. Iowa City, begins Monday, May 7 at 7:45 a.m. Voting will be available at the Auditor’s Office office weekdays 7:45 to 5:30. (The office will be closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.)
